The Tokyo Disney Resort announced their newest port, “Fantasy Springs” has officially broken ground at Tokyo DisneySea, and is expected to open in 2022.
First announced last year, this brand new themed port will transports guests to the worlds of Frozen, Tangled, and Neverland from Peter Pan. The new expansion is set to cost ¥250 billion (around $2.5 billion USD) and include four attractions, three restaurants and one shop, as well as a connecting Disney hotel overlooking this section of the park. Stepping into this new themed port, Guests will find waterfalls and ponds flowing with the magical spring waters; a first-of-its-kind, new world of fantasy in the only Disney Park themed to the myths and legends of the sea.
The newest concept art depicts the left and right entrances of “Fantasy Spring” in both a day and night settings. Try and spot the different characters in both the rock and wood work.
However this is not all that is coming to the Tokyo Disney Resort.
- Soaring: Fantastic Flight will open at Tokyo Disney Sea on July 23rd, 2019
- Beauty and the Beast theme area and Ride, Fantasyland Forest Theatre, Happy Ride with Baxmax, and Minnie’s Style Studio will open at Tokyo Disneyland in 2020
- Toy Story themed hotel will open on the resort property in 2021
