The Disneyland Resort introduces a brand new annual pass that combines both value and flexibility.
Starting on May 21, guests will have the option to purchase the new “Disney Flex Passport,” which will offer a variety of different ways to visit the Disneyland Resort. Flex Passholders will have the opportunity to access one or both parks on the select “good-to-go days,” and will also have the ability to make reservations on higher capacity days.
For example, on every green (Good to Go) date you’ll have the ability to visit the Disneyland Resort when ever you so please. However, on the blue dates you’ll need to make a reservation in advance for the date(s) that you plan to attend the parks.
Now what’s the catch? You may only hold up to two reservation dates at a time; up to 30 days in advance. If you already have two reservations during a 30-day window, you’ll have the opportunity to make another once your first reservation date has passed or if you cancel an existing reservation. Reservations will be made & managed through both the Disneyland website, and the Disneyland Park app.
So how much will “Flex Pass” cost?
The current price of the Flex Pass is slated to start at $599
Now if “Flex Pass” seems like the annual pass for you, just know there are also some specific rules that go along with it. If you create a reservation under your pass and don’t show up to the parks, you will be considered a “no show.” If you collect 3 “no show” reservations within a 90-day period, you will be unable to make new reservations for 30 days. So basically don’t miss your time in the parks!
Other Pass Benefits:
– Max Pass can be added for an extra charge.
– Parking is NOT included with “Flex Pass”
– Merchandise Discount up to 10%
– Food & Beverage Discount up to 10%
What do think of this new annual pass option? Personally, I’m way to spontaneous to own this pass as I sometimes tend to wake up and have to the urge to visit the parks on a whim. However, I am curious to see how the pass works once it goes into effect, and see the number of reservations each date will hold before it becomes “unavailable.”
